They were the drop from a bridge
The touch of warm skin
Barefoot walks on cobbled streets
Go winding down till waters edge they meet
Diving headfirst swallowed up by the soft sheet
Together they would dream
A feudal life, an endless lake
But we all must wake
As kids they’d been given a shove
A planted love
But dormant thoughts in young minds fade
They cannot grow with my years kept in the shade

Suddenly a beam of light has been shed
Approaching car ahead
Staring at the gate, can’t tear his gaze because
Standing there she was

Their frames had tripled in size
Holding paints of the same lives
Gallery of walking through
What now was once again just as new
Of all the times said goodnight my love
This one rose above
He was to take a train the next day
But she was to stay

They were reaching for leaves
As they fell from the trees
Hoping that would find one

The tide reveals that life can grow in gaps

He could not hold onto both of the worlds

The tracks had taken me too soon

They were right on track
To the point of impact
The drop would take them over
One dream and no alarm clock ringing
I was sailing one day
Found him down in the lake
Tribulation left behind
With a note that read Honey keep me in mind
The news showed a man she swore she had seen
In several different dreams
His conscious stream now flows with hers
Every night they swim in the river
